About Paramount Metal Gates

Paramount Metal Gates is a gate fabricator and installer based in Paramount, CA. We design, build, automate and repair metal gates across southeast Los Angeles County, working in steel, ornamental iron and aluminum on everything from a single residential driveway to a cantilever gate across an industrial yard.

The part that shapes everything else is that we fabricate in our own shop. A gate is built to the opening we measured rather than ordered in a standard width and adjusted until it roughly fits, and the same crew that cuts and welds the frame is the crew that sets the posts and hangs the leaves.

Our Approach

Most gates that fail early were compromised before they were installed. A leaf packed out with filler hardware to bridge an oversized gap, a frame sized for a lighter design than it ended up carrying, an operator chosen on price rather than on the weight it has to move, or a post reused from an old fence line. None of those is a maintenance problem, and none of them is visible on the day the gate goes in.

So we start with a free on-site measure and give you an itemized, fixed-price proposal in writing before anything is cut. The number agreed at that walkthrough is the number on the final invoice. There are no change orders introduced once the driveway is already open and the old gate is off its hinges.

We do not subcontract the work out. That matters most on the automation half of a job, where the gate and the operator are usually treated as two trades and the gaps between them are where problems live. Because we build, install, wire and service the whole assembly, nobody arrives on site without knowing why a post was placed where it was, and when a gate needs attention years later the people who built it are the people who come back.

We also handle the approvals. Setback and height limits, corner sightline requirements, driveway approach and encroachment submissions and the inspections that go with them are part of the job rather than something handed back to you as homework. Discovering a rule late is expensive, because a gate built to the wrong height is not a gate that can be adjusted.

While we are on site we protect adjacent driveways, walls and landscaping, and clear up at the end of each working day. Nothing is called finished until a final walkthrough against the standard agreed before work began, with the gate run through its full cycle and every safety device confirmed to actually stop it.

Afterwards, common operator and hardware replacement parts travel on the service vehicle. Most repair calls are therefore finished on the first visit rather than becoming a parts order and a second appointment.

What We Do

We build and repair driveway gates, ornamental wrought iron gates, sliding and cantilever gates, RV and side-yard gates, pool safety gates and commercial security gates, and we install and service the automation behind them: gate operators, access control, keypads, intercoms, loop detectors and safety sensing. Custom fabrication and mobile welding cover the work that does not fit any of those categories, including matching ironwork installed decades ago.
